I recorded this at my home studio, Cimamusic Mix & Mastering, in Tucson, AZ. A local artist brought me a “sketch” of this song, and I helped her to arrange it. I provided all of the drum programming and instrumentation, and everything was recorded into Pro Tools. I mixed the song on Mixbus 32c using some WAVES, Slate Digital and other “boutique” plugins. THe song was sent to a Moon Tree Mastering in Sacramento, CA for the final polish!

It’s balanced really well. The low end is nice and crisp. I think because the acoustic is sitting hard left for a lot of the song, it’s making the snare seem like it’s panned slightly right which took a little getting used to. The last thing I noticed was the Triangle sound was a little piercing at louder volumes. I would’ve probably dropped that a few dBs.
All in all it’s still a super pro mix. Nice work.
