December 2020 was a terrible time for me.. I had to leave town for terrible family business and things have been a mess. I knew when I got back home the only way to heal would be by jumping head first into a creative bender with the band.
This is our first new song in a year, the first of a pile of about 20 in the works.
Just used sonar 6, a bunch of outdated plugins and flstudio for the required drum surgery.
Oh… then theres the chaos that involved recording drumparts and sampling the kit with one shitty dynamic mic…but that’s a long story.
Love the vibe. Great job creating that with the reverb. As a drummer, I’d like a little more low end thump on the drums, but not a huge deal. Keep up the good work!

Thanks zakk, yeah the drums were difficult to get sounding decent.. we basically recorded our drummer playing, then had him do single hits and I went crazy in post drum surgery turning his parts to loops then sample replacing everything with the samples from the kit..
I kinda wanted a bit of that old 70s pink floyd animals feel, so, while it worked out, i can only juice the low end so much on my eris 3.5s…
