Here is my take on the AtlantisBound song It Was My Fault For Waiting. Mixed in Reaper and I used Paramore song Still into you as sonic reference for the mixing and mastering. Feel free to comment, thanks 🙂

The mix balance is really nice. The only things I’m not a huge fan of is the room sounds. The drums have that small room feel. Also is there an effect on the vocal?
Hi! Thank you for the comments. Tried to maintain the feel of a band playing in a small rehearsal room, not a stadion 🙂 What effect do you mean on the vocal?
Oh ok gotcha. Well that’s exactly what it sounds like 😉 a small rehearsal room. The vocal effect sounds like a very small room sound or really fast Slapback or chorus/double type effect. It doesn’t sound like the direct mic, unless she was way off mic when she recorded
The lead vocal was double tracked. If I remember correctly, I took the second track, applied Soundtoys Microshift to it and then mixed to taste with the main lead vocal. Thats about it ?
The track is loud af. Compressing the crap out of it on the stereo bus? Vocal way to loud. Would be great with that vocal bedded in I reckon.
Hi! I mastered the song pretty loud this time. Vocal maybe a bit loud. Thanks for your comments!
Hi, the mix needs more punch , specially the Drums…
Hello! Thank you for the feedback. Tried to maintain a feel of a band playing in a rehearsal room in the 90’s 🙂 That’s why no excessive compression for a snap on the drums.
