I recorded all the instruments, but the drums were recorded by a friend in tx. Would appreciate opinions. It’s a song written about love and hope in the time of Quarantine. I don’t know how to make the soundstage for the song sound more polished. I started mastering with a 7 step technique about a couple of days ago. thanks in advance for your critiques and opinions. Would also love any song writing critique. Mixed and mastered on a laptop with a MOTU M2 interface.

Love the song! For the mix, the kick and bass are kinda taking over. The vocal is pretty buried and there seems to be some volume fluctuations happening overall.
What is the 7 step technique?
