If i read correctly the drums were allowed to use midi samples and drum samples. So i turned the kick and snare into midi tracks using studio one and then sat through listened to the oh track and midi’d out the cymbals with mjolnir drums and adjusted the impact of how hard they were hit to feel more humanized? Its still mixed with the original snare and kick, think i got it to fill what it was missing both ways like that.
used the original hihat track Since it didnt have and harsh interference.
Man you’re making a PT user jealous! We need that audio to midi functionality hah. Nice mix 🙂
this is what i practically did for the cymbals but yea, just detecting the transients and dragging to a midi on studio one and then dragging to sample key is the easy way. just make sure that your not hitting any false notes.
Cool, I’ve never seen someone do it that way before. I have been running stuff through melodyne and exporting to midi, but I love the idea of doing it with a macro for drums
Nice mix! Love that phaser on the intro. I think the only thing I hear is that sometimes the vocal seems to not be sitting in the mix. It’s not the whole song. Just at certain moments.
Drums are so punchy! Cymbals sound awesome too, how did you do that?

Don’t sit well as in a level wise or?
I think the issue is mostly level. Might be hi-pass too if changing the level doesn’t fix it.
