Such a cool way to do a church song. Really down to earth. Your mix captured all of the messy nuance you would find in a little dive bar and poured your heart into your muse. Nicely done.
Cool track… dig the raspy vocals. Seems like the piano has a lot of sustain or release in certain parts that overlap, but it still works. I feel like I’m transported to a little blues joint late at night and this little band is playing live.

Thanks for listening and for the comment.

Thanks for listening Blake.
This was a very rough and quick demo I recorded in 2017. One vocal mic(with bleed) one mic on piano.
I’m just playing around with it.
Edited it to fit the drum track I created and laid down a simple bass line.
Was the sub causing issues? What kind of speakers do you have?
I’m not sure Zack
Running a test…
I may have had the sub volume up to high, because I was getting comments that some mixes sounded thin or mid rangy.
I have an old pair of Morel 403’s
and a Element ESW12 sub
