Empires Mix Contest

This is a cool mix that really Rocks after the verse 2. It was challenging making the wall of frequencies work during the solo. There are no samples. Each timing edit was done by hand only when necessary to keep the natural groove of a tight band. I blended sounds, the bass drum is modern and powerful and the Bass guitar is right off some 1970 Vinyl. Enough to really punch and have the energy to close out a furry of guitar and vocals. Vocals have automated verbs, volume with 3 compressors (serial). Soundtoys Decapitator is automated through. It was recorded really well so once the balance was had the song leaped out of the speakers. Done in ProTools, Mix Cubes, JBL LR + Sub and Audeze LCD-2. New to the game at 53.
