Cool song. For the mix, the drums are sounding a bit muffled. Like the hi end has been rolled off a bit. Also, is the mix clipping a little bit?
Thanks for listening. Rolled off the high end too much trying to get a warmer sound. It was particularly noticeable when I listened to the Youtube version through the T.V.
Really fun sounding song. Guitar tones are perfect. Solo is a tad buried with the bass washing out the overtones of the really cool sweeps. The reverb on your voice is a bit rich and a little distracting. Also, check what frequency range you have boosted for the bass. It sounds a bit muddy without any punch. You may be boosting really low frequencies. Try the 250hz range on the bass. Just some suggestions. Its a really tasty sounding song. Really well arranged.
Thank you so much Dacuneo. I finished the song a week ago but had another listen this morning and it felt like I could improve it a bit. I always struggle with the bass on my mixes. Will give this another go and see how I get on. Really appreciate your input. Thank you.
I agree, cool song! I would also suggest using some automation or compression just to tighten up a bit.
