Got hired by a company to recreate this Beyonce song. All parts were played by me. We recorded the vocals at Sugar Hill studios in Houston with one of the girls that was in Beyonce’s group before they were Destiny’s Child.

Thanks! I don’t do a lot of producing, but this is one of the few songs where I produced and recorded everything myself (minus the vocals obviously).
Great vocalist. Sounds like a professional mix. I’m not a huge fan of the low-fi snare but that is probably a personal preference thing. When the first tinkle sounds come in over the vocal at about 0:57 I feel like they take a bit more prominence than the vocal does, but I think that vocal should sit front and centre through the whole song. Like the way you mixed the backing vocals in, nice and subtle.
Thanks! Yeah she was an amazing vocalist. Maybe she still had a little grudge against Beyonce and felt the need to show her up lol. For all the sounds I tried my best to make it sound like the original EXACTLY. I may have missed the mark a little bit 😉
