I just recently got Cubase Artist 11 as an upgrade to GarageBand. I decided to download Spitfire Labs, and use their soft piano sample to just play around. I didn’t edit it much because I wanted it to sound as realistic as possible, so there are some mess ups in there.Hope you guys enjoy!

Nice playing! It definitely sounds “soft” maybe even a bit muffled.
Sounds good. The sound as “in a box” does not reveal the piano, but this is for my taste.
Nice song I really like the jazz section. I would like to hear some eq on the piano on the low mid so you can preserve the softness of the sound without the “boxy” sound.
This is not about mixing but more about production: LABS also have a drum instrument, you can use it to give more life to your song.

oh, well, the thing is, it was a wav file, but I had to convert to mp4 because the website wouldn’t accept wav ?
Oh I didn’t mean soft volume wise. I meant the piano had a soft edge to it 😉
