Is this for a mixing competition? Cus I really like the mix because it’s different. But if it’s for a contest, they might penalize you for going outside the box.
I think it has a queens of the Stone Age feel and it’s not perfect, but I kinda like it that way.
It’s for Mixing Duels FB Group.
We pick a song, mix it and put up a poll.
But for some reason it’s difficult to get people to participate.
What makes it “out of the box”?

For me, the out of the box comes from the heavily processed/effected vocals as well as the vocals being somewhat buried in the mix. Also the more filtered sounding drums.
