Piano recorded on Casio PX 560. I am hoping to make it sound more realistic, however, that might be just in the way I played it.
I am wanting to know if the drums on the track are layered over properly, or if there are any areas of muddy EQ that can be improved for clarity and punch.
The main tool used for mastering was Ozone 8 elements. I also often use neutron elements for instruments.
Cool beat! Those 808 hits are a little heavy in the low end. Also I feel like the beat is missing some mids. It seems like the instruments all have a bit of high end boosted. Maybe you were trying to remove mud and removed too much?
Yeah that sounds so accurate giving a listen to it now. There are almost no mids it feels hollow. I’ll see how I can add some warmth to the track, thank you 🙂
I personally would add good amount of reverb, then eq the piano very warm and a considerable amount of high frequency cut. I would Lower the volume on it as well
that’s a good idea! I tend to push all my instrumentals to the limit in volume and perceived loudness, ill make sure to stop that. Thanks
