This is a cover I produced and mixed from scratch with my brother (the lead voice). I’m using the Aston Spirit for pretty much everything. Mixed mostly with Waves plugins in Logic.

A bit muddy on some parts due to too much emphasis on the bass. The snare seems a bit washed out. Maybe boost it a couple db at the 1.7kHz range.The beginning was a bit hot on the vocals and the piano (too much compression?) Nice background vocal at the end during the last chorus.

Nice. Some of those S’s are a little harsh. Might want to hit the De-Esser a little harder. Also I agree about the kick. The low end is hitting pretty hard.

Love the song. I think the kick/snare ratio is a little off. The kick has a bit too much low end thump and the snare is a little thin. Also, I think the vocal could use more compression and maybe a hi pass to push it a little further back in the mix.
