  • Really cool song!!! Great vocals and they sound rich! There’s something going on around the 150+ mark….hard to tell if its a rattle or peak…???? May be bass???? Maybe pull back on highs from bass or Dresser??? Maybe not bass. As I listened thru rest of song, didn’t hear the thing again….and bass sounded good. I do hear kind of low frequency fog….number of instruments occupying same space in lower mid range area.
    Slow spot around 2:35….maybe brighten up the guitar and push a little bit more.I really like this song and hate making suggestions when the talent is so obvious….but these are more taste suggestions. I’m curious if you hear the thing I’m talking about at the 1:50….if you don’t mind, respond back on that. Very cool song!

    • Hey Geno, What I hear at the 1:50 mark is the bass player slide over the strings. I guess I could have pulled that down a bit. If I had spent more time on it and really picked it apart, I probably would have done something there and other places.

      I’ve been on this kick lately, what I call the “2 Hour Mix Challenge”. Where I download the tracks load them into a session and before listening or anything else, I start a 2 hour timer. Hit play and have a go at it.
      Timer goes off and that’s it… Print the mix and post it to SoundCloud and MixChecks.
