This was recorded twenty years ago in a piano rehearsal room at an art school. To say I knew nothing about recording music would be an understatement. The mics were cheap plastic and their placement was amateur. So – twenty years later, I’ve digitized the tape and tried to make it sound like something. Does it sound like something? The thing I’m really wrestling with is the distortion just on the top of the high notes of the piano. But any thoughts you have, I’m all about. Thank you.

I think it definitely sounds like an old recording. A lot of people desire that sound though 😉
This reminds me of Weird Al. The piano is a bit on the left side of the stereo field for my liking. The vocals have too much low information and is distracting. I like the song, but I think you should flush it out more with a band.
