This was recorded using Apple Logic. Guitars are all Line 6 Helix Native and drums are Toontrack EZ Drummer. My goal is to get a good Rock mix – Satriani type thing. I can’t seem to find a good balance of not being shrill or not being boomy in the low end.

Cool song! I think the guitars have a little too much low end on them. Maybe try pulling out some of the 150-200. Maybe a little 500 too to get rid of some mud they currently have. Those EQ moves might help the balance a little bit but right now I think the guitars are way louder than the drums. So, I’d probably bring up the drums, mostly the kick a little bit.
