Drums were recorded in a living room, all guitars and bass are done in the box with DIs (mostly using Neural DSP’s Archetype Nolly), all vocals were recorded by the vocalist in his little home studio.
All mixing was in the box, mostly using Waves SSL Channel strip, REQ, and Slate Digital VMR. I’ve been trying to get better at EQing, and am pretty happy with the result of this one! Feedback always much appreciated in advance.
I love the clean baritone guitar. I also like the clean guitars. The distorted guitars in the chorus hold it all together. Pretty dark subject matter. Gave it an 8.
Just curious if maybe you forgot to enable the amp sims on some of the guitars? Sounds like a lot of DI guitars made the final mix.
Love the snare sound. I think the kick could use a little more beef in the low end to match the pinch of the snare.
