In general I like your mixes. On this I would have tried reversing the position of reverb. Put it on the drums and none or minimal on the vocal. I would also have liked a different kick drum sound.
I like this vibe, but I do agree with Zakk. violin parts are super loud compared to the vocals. It feels like everything is on it’s own plane maybe glue it together a little bit more.
I think normally you’d just change the kick sample you’re using. The Trigger plugin is usually for acoustic kicks where you don’t have the option to click a button and change the sound of an instrument 😉
if you use the trigger plugin does the original drummer ever complain?
I’ve never ran into that issue before and I use trigger on most mixes.

what would you use for glue?
Sounds good! I think kick is a little too “digitaly” sounding. Can you maybe beef it up or maybe bit crush it a little?
