New to the group… This track was written and mastered entirely in Reason (10) – my preferred DAW for almost 20 years. I used a VST Komplete sound for the bass. I mixed and mastered the whole thing on Yamaha HPH MT5 headphones then tweaked using KRK Rokit 5 Gen 3 monitors. I’m realizing that the Rokit speakers are not the best when it comes to the high end frequency playback – When I play my tracks elsewhere they seem to sound quite piercing, so I always need to account for and adjust that. Looking to buy some Yamaha HS7’s or 8’s to hopefully fix this problem (apparently they have a more neutral / flat sound).
So, my question is : With the above info in mind, How does my overall mix sound to you guys?

I’m not an EDM guy either but my feeling there isn’t enough bottom here. I kind of wish the drums were live. Still, I like the panning effects.

Yeah, my next purchase is a sub so I can work on that area with more accuracy. I’m finding the Rokit 5 Gen 3’s are not as clean as I’d like – Looking at Yamaha Hs7’s with the sub.
I’m not much of an EDM mixer but it sounds pretty good to me. Where did you get the vocals from?

I purchased a Ragga Twins vocal pack from loopmasters.
I layered 3 tracks from the pack to create the Main vocals, Supporting offset vocal and Background vocals.
