Mix Feedback from others:

  • I like that I can hear the high end of the kick drum throughout the mix 🙂 The hat hat is a nice level. The hihat spot was a bit too dynamic, I’m curious how you balanced it out.

    My main criticism is that the guitars sound dry compared to the vocal / drums at times.

      With the hi hat, there were several layers of processing that happened. First I consolidated the hi hat in with the overheads and rendered them. When I did that, I also had two compressors running. One of them was set to catch the transient of the hi hat/cymbals, and the other to control the tail. Then in the mix they were compressed further when a compressor was put on the drum buss :).
