We think that, while not classic country, it might fit into one of the new country guy’s repertoire. It’s very simple with a very ear-wormy chorus. We are hoping to get this piece to somebody who might like to sandwich it into an album. Hopefully we could make a couple of bucks to keep going.

It’s sounding good! Seems like there might be just a little too much high end “air” boosting for my ears. Nothing major though.
Also, the drums are getting masked a little when everything is playing. However, if this is just a demo and meant to be recorded by another artist then I think it does its job well.

Chainsaw here: Thanks for the listen. We are definitely going for a country/poppy sound that has nothing to do with trucks, guns, flags or girls with painted on jeans. Selling it to somebody looking for material is certainly a goal as is most of the stuff I write and that we record here. We’re not really sure how to get my material to what used to be A&R people. When was the last time you heard a dance tune anywhere?
Wiley here: I’m interested in what “air” is. Can you explain it or give an example? Plus, it seems like if the drums are any louder…maybe I need to add some HPFs on the guitars so the kick and bass sit by themselves in the mix better. Thanks for the input.
The air im talking about is an abundance in the 12kHz and up range.
