Here is my mix of Linkin Park’s One Step Closer. I have managed to come across the stems for this track and decided to give it a shot mixing. My approach with this mix is juxtaposed, as I have mixed it based on hearing the master track, and all the while give my own twist on it. Two examples, I implemented the Parallel Distortion technique on the vocals and automating it in the chorus and the bridge of the song, to give the vocals more bite and applied modulation effects on the harmonic guitars, just when it kicks into the second chorus.

Nice work! I just notice 2 things:
Chester’s vocal seems buried in the verses. I can’t totally understand what he’s saying.
The mix balance as a whole is a little top end heavy. I’d love to remove some of that high end and add some lows back in.
